Hi, I'm La’Nika Graham — I'm glad you're here!
CEO & Founder of Rise & Thrive Counseling Agency, PLLC
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a M.Ed. in Counseling & Development, specializing in Marriage, Couple, & Family Therapy. I offer counseling, life skills training, and psychoeducation to children, teens, adults, couples, families, and groups — serving clients across Texas.
Through empathy, collaboration, and cultural awareness, I create a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported as you work toward healing and growth.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy sports and staying active outdoors. I also love nature walks, coffee, traveling, trying new cuisines, and spending quality time with my friends, my husband, two kids, and our dog, Daisey. I believe in balance, connection, and joy — values that I bring into my work with clients.
“The inner journey of self-discovery and healing is a transformative process that often leads us to deep reflection." ~La’Nika Graham

Our Therapeutic Approaches
An Eclectic Toolbox, Tailored for You
(Together, we’ll find what works for your healing, your growth, and your goals).
I use a variety of counseling approaches to support your growth—mentally, emotionally, physically, relationally, and spiritually. I believe change is possible with dedication and support, and I also recognize that life is hard, and challenges will arise. Part of our work is honoring your capacity in each moment and learning to be okay with doing your best—whatever that looks like at the time. Therapy is not just about what happens in the room—it's also about how you integrate insights and tools into your daily life. That’s why our work may include both written and experiential homework assignments to help you apply what you’re learning in real-time. Together, we’ll build tools you can carry into everyday life.
This growth-oriented approach creates a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore your true self and move toward personal fulfillment.
CBT helps you identify and shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, offering practical tools to manage anxiety, depression, and everyday challenges.
DBT offers skills for emotion regulation, mindfulness, and healthier relationships—especially useful if you experience intense emotions or feel overwhelmed.
EFT helps deepen emotional bonds and build secure, supportive relationships—whether with yourself, a partner, or others.
ACT guides you in making room for difficult emotions while moving toward the life you want—by learning to accept difficult emotions and commit to actions rooted in your values, purpose, and resilience.
RIT is a trauma-informed approach that integrates relational depth with evidence-based practices to gently uncover how past experiences influence your present life and relationships, helping you understand how these patterns shape your emotional world.
